After growing up with season passes for Disneyland, DisneySea was a must when we went to Tokyo! When we arrived at the park I was immediately entranced by how different it is then the American parks and the Paris park. There were so many unique rides that you won't find at other parks, a few that were the same. For example, the Indian Jones ride is located in DisneySea but the ride is much slower than the American park which I thought was super interesting. Overall the rides seemed to be more focused on the design and the layout of the line before you got to the ride which was entrancing. But the rides themselves were not very fast so if you're looking for amusement-level rides these are not going to be your cup of tea. The other major difference between the parks was the price of the food!
Almost all the food in the parks ranged from $3 to $10 US dollars which is insane compared to the pricing at Disneyland in California where a churro is around $8 and a meal is around $20 depending on where you go. With that being said the food options here are a lot different, they were smaller portions and more handheld food not so much sit-down restaurants. While here I tried a platter of food and I am going to list which ones I think are worth your time and you should try when you go!
Gyoza Dog: ¥500
Sparkling Cocktail with Gin and Kiwi: ¥780
This drink is super refreshing and the chunks of kiwi are frozen so they add a nice crunch to the drink as well!
Popcorn Buckets:¥400 (varying prices for the souvenir buckets)
Popcorn at DisneySea comes in many different flavors from plain butter to soy sauce!
Churro ¥600
No trip to Disney would be complete without a churro. Disneysea offers the cinnamon churro but also specialty ones that change throughout the year. We got a delicious caramel one, but be on the lookout for different flavors to try!
Sea Salt Ice Cream Monaka:¥310
These ice cream shells lived up to their hype. The Salty ice cream inside the crispy shell was delicious and perfect for a midday snack especially when it was warming up outside!
Green Alien Mochi:¥360
These little mochis were delicious! The three flavors that each one comes with are strawberry, vanilla, and chocolate. The strawberry ended up being my favorite but they were all good and a great snack.
Mickey Ukiwaman Chicken:¥750
If you have been researching these like I did before we went, I was so excited to try the shrimp bao buns. But sadly at the time I went, they did not have this flavor just a chicken one. I am unsure if they change seasonally or if they just discontinued the shrimp bao buns but either way, the chicken was amazing!
